Matthew Holtkamp
President, Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning
After receiving his technical degree in the Heating and Air conditioning field from Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa, IA in 1985, Matthew moved to Georgia and began what would become his lifelong passion for helping people and making them comfortable. After working for Atlanta's three largest air conditioning contractors over a 10 year period, Matthew opened his own company in Buford, GA in 1995.
After the first few years in business, Matthew noticed how most customers weren't realizing the energy savings advertised by the equipment companies. Seeking an answer turned into several years of research and training outside the Metro Atlanta area. Matthew then turned his attention and resources towards training his employees in finding comfort solutions for customers based on science, not on industry habits.
Building Science has since become the cornerstone of Holtkamp Heating & Air. "No component of a house can operate alone. It must be analyzed as a whole." This Building Science approach, along with valued partnerships with quality companies like Trane, Southface and Comfort Institute continue to drive Holtkamp Heating & Air's success. Continued training is a top priority at all levels in the company.
Now holding certifications with Comfort Institute and Building Performance Institute, Matthew is often asked to speak on energy efficiency and the Whole House Solution, most recently at the Southeastern Home Inspectors Conference.
Matthew is Past President of MAACA (Metro Atlanta Air Conditioning Association) and is past Legislative Committee Chairman.
He recently instructed students and teachers at Southface Institute on using Static Pressure as a HVAC system diagnostic tool. He is proud that Holtkamp Heating & A/C is the first company in Georgia compliant with the new ANSI/ACCA 5 QI-2007 Quality Installation Specification; this revolutionary document is the first ever tool in the HVAC industry which helps homeowners compare HVAC companies before ever using them.

Suzanne Holtkamp
Vice President of Marketing & Operations
Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning
After receiving her B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech in 1990, Suzanne moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in advertising. She was an account manager for Austin Kelley Advertising and then Fahlgren Martin, working on accounts such as Doral Hotels and Resorts, Honda Power Equipment, Nicklaus Golf, NAPA, and ATP Tour (Men's professional tennis tour).
In 1995, she and Matthew opened Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning. Suzanne has been active with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce as a Volunteer Ambassador. She has served in several roles within their church, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, as a teacher and retreat organizer. Suzanne also served on the Building Committee for Prince of Peace as they planned their new facility in Flowery Branch.
In 2005, Suzanne undertook her most ambitious project to date, designing and building an energy efficient, "green" home with products that Holtkamp Heating & Air recommends to its customers. The home currently uses 1/8 the normal energy usage of a home of comparable size and utilizes such green features as solar water heating, rain water reclamation, and passive heating.
Suzanne currently serves Holtkamp Heating & Air as Vice President of Marketing and Operations.
