"On a Friday before one of the coldest forecast weekends this year, my furnace went out. I was in panic to try to get someone to help me before I had to suffer through a bitterly cold weekend with no heat.
I got in touch with Holtkamp at about 3:30 on Friday afternoon. The estimator was at my house by 4:15. He performed some tests, we settled on a furnace, and he drove to the Trane dealership before 5:00 to make sure I got the furnace. The installers came out early the next day as agreed, and worked hard to get heat going. I was comfortable for the weekend.
The following Monday, they came back out to complete the installation of a second thermostat and worked all day on that as well.
I would, without hesitation, recommend Holtkamp to anyone!! "

"The heat pump was providing heat but not enough to offset the below freezing temps. Matthew arrived as scheduled, replaced the heat strips and synchronized them and now my house is maintaining the correct temp. The day after the repair, he even called back to verify that everything was working well.
How often do you get that kind of follow-up service? "
The company sent someone out to do an estimate on our furnace and heat pump last month and I was so impressed with what was entailed in this estimate. I thought they were just going to give me the price and leave. The man spent over 2 hours doing calculations and testing to ensure that our new system would work properly on peak heating & cooling days.
He also found some other problems that we had no idea about that need to be fixed asap. We chose the company to do the work and have been completely satisfied and we were very satisfied with everything that was done.

In the past, I’ve had other lesser quality heating and air companies come out to service my units – and to be honest I always felt like they were trying to get me to fix or replace things that just didn’t need to be fixed. "The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Joey showed up at exactly the promised time. He did great work and completed the job in one afternoon even though he had to run and get parts several times. I don't think they are the most competitive in price, but I do believe that they are extremely professional.

"I called Holtkamp early on a Friday morning after another place in town had said it would be Tuesday before they could come service my AC. I was happy to hear they could come out that day! As their techs were very busy that day, Mr. Holtkamp came out and worked on my unit personally.
I was very happy with his professionalism and attentiveness to all my concerns. My problem turned out to be electrical, and not directly related to the AC system at all. He did not try to sell me other parts/services that I did not need.
I am very happy with the service I received from Holtkamp, and will be calling them the next time I need service. "
"I called Holtkamp based on the reviews when our A/C died on the hottest day of the year. Called the office and the phone was answered promptly, a very pleasant professional women answered (sorry I forgot your name). She told me she would call a tech and see when someone could come to check the problem, and return my call. I don't know if I just was lucky but she called back in 2 minutes, and they were able to dispatch a tech in 45 minutes to my home. Considering the current heat wave fantastic service.
Matt from Holtkamp Heating and A/C arrived on time, very professional, and courteous he quickly diagnosed the problem, and had the A/C working in 20 minutes.

"We got a new heating and air-conditioning system installed and everyone involved in the process was professional, polite and friendly. The follow up was fantastic. Every question was addressed and they were not happy until we were happy; they showed up on time and cleaned up. We would recommend them without reservation."
"Having just bought a house built in 1979 with a 1977 model furnace, we were aware that it would not last too many more years. Unfortunately, the furnace stopped blowing air about three weeks after we moved in. We contacted our warranty company who sent a vendor out to attempt to repair the furnace. They got it to work for one additional day and then returned saying that it needed to be replaced. Not entirely satisfied with this company [sic… other HVAC company, not Holtkamp], we found Holtkamp through Kudzu.
They performed diagnostics and gave us a report of their findings. After discussing our options, we selected a Trane unit and purchased a procedure to seal the air ducts to improve the efficiency of the system. The work to remove the old furnace and replace it with the new unit proved to be a big job. It took two men nearly two full days to complete the job. The work was primarily in the attic and was hot and difficult. Afterwards, though, we had cool air circulating throughout the upstairs of the house, which meant no more sweating while trying to sleep.
A second crew of two men did the sealing work. Both crews were efficient and professional. When two minor issues were discovered after all the work was done, Holtkamp sent a man back out to quickly resolve both of them.
I would recommend Holtkamp to anyone with any type of air distribution problem in the house. They were a pleasure to work with. "
"I recently had to have a new air conditioner installed. After calling a couple of other companies, I settled on Holtkamp. They came out and went through everything about the air flow and conditioner. They gave me a very professional proposal that was broke down with all the different cost.
They came out the day they promise and were very polite and clean. The place was cleaner after they left then before. A few days later the owner of the company came by, just to inspect the job and check if everything was done correctly.

"Called Holtkamp with an A/C problem after business hours one evening. My call was returned within an hour. The problem was properly diagnosed the following morning, and the service technician explained what had caused the problem and what it would cost to fix it properly.
The fix was installed within 48 hours and the warranty on the replacement parts is longer than the warranty was on the faulty parts. I have the comfort of knowing my A/C unit is now functioning properly and will continue to do so.

"When we turned on our air conditioner for the first time this spring we got a big surprise! It stunk to high heaven! We didn't know what we were going to do. I called around to some places that were recommended but they couldn't "get to me" for at least a week. I came across Holtkamp Heating and AC on Kudzu.com. Their address was close to mine and they had good reviews so I decided to see what they could do for me.
When I called, Miss Beverly answered the phone and I told her what my problem was. She said it was common and she could get someone out there for me this afternoon! Chuck showed up on time and was very friendly! He knew exactly what the problem was and went about fixing it straight away! In less than an hour my problem was solved and everything was in great working order.
I am so glad I called Holtkamp! From the time Miss Berverly answered the phone until Chuck left my house I was treated to excellent customer service. I can't stress enough how nice it was to be treated like I mattered and that my problem was their problem. The price was more than reasonable!

Can you imagine a service that is friendly, honest and that actually came within 4 minutes of when promised?
(When was the last time you spend a half day waiting for a repairman that didn't call and worse, didn't come?) I could have been hogs waggled into an expensive repair given the issue I had but the service tech, which was professional in every respect, fixed the problem using good judgment and gave me the information I'd need to decide what to do in the future if the unit I have gives up the fight.

"We contacted Holtkamp regarding our high energy bills. Mr. Holtkamp conducted a complete analysis of our residence and recommended a total system solution for us that included sealing all of our ducts and adding specific energy sealed recessed lighting.
In addition the recommended solution included a humidifier, two new furnaces and air conditioners and two air cleaners. We agreed to the solution. As a result our energy bills have been reduced by fifty present since the solution was installed.

"We returned from a business trip to find our master bathroom floor (and ceiling light fixture) very wet from a leak that was caused by an overflowing AC unit in the attic. Our units are older and our fear was that there may be serious problems with both the AC unit as well as the ceiling & electrical.
My husband called and arranged an appointment the following day, and we are delighted to report that the unit was merely clogged and needed cleaning. We are very pleased with Holtkamp and would highly recommend them based on our recent experience.

He even charged less than expected because he said it was a problem that he should have discovered earlier and would not charge us for the extra time looking for the problem.

"I found Holtkamp by coming to Kudzu.com and seeing who was best rated in my area. I'm so glad I went with Holtkamp! They called me a day before my scheduled time because they had a cancellation and were able to come to my house early.
Charles arrived and greeted me politely. He was wearing a Holtkamp shirt and the van had Holtkamp decals on it. I explained the problem to him and he went up to look at my AC unit. He was able to determine the problem and tell me the basic cost. He finished his work quickly, had the part in his van and was close to the estimate he had given me.
He cleaned up the old parts and placed them in my garbage can. He didn't try to sell me any services or items, but when I asked about some extras he was able to tell me what I wanted to know and offered some brochures. Prior to leaving, he checked the temp of the registers to make sure the system was operating correctly.
I felt educated about my HVAC and certain that a quality repair was performed. I will use Holtkamp for my HVAC needs in the future."

"After contacting another well-known AC company, I desperately called Holtkamp for a second quote. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and polite. She was able to send someone to me within an hour.
The owner, Matthew, was on time and very thorough with his inspection. The other tech person spent approximately five minutes inspecting my unit and came back double in price. Matthew was able to determine the exact problem and was able to fix that day.
The other company claimed to not to be able to determine exactly whether it was the compressor or fan Until I purchased the fan then, if it was the compressor, I would be responsible for purchasing the fan AND a whole new unit! This was not the case with Holtkamp. "

They completed a blower door test and demonstrated what was happening at the time of giving us an estimate for a replacement system.
